In Reconciliation: Art of Apology and Forgiveness

This exhibition seeks to explore the effects of the 2008 Apology to the Stolen Generation, by the then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, on the Indigenous community
living in Yarra Ranges.

In Reconciliation presents a selection of art, sculpture and photography from Indigenous artists and community elders that respond to the themes of apology, forgiveness and reconciliation. The exhibition features Bindi Cole Chocka’s emotional multi-channel video installation, We All Need Forgiveness.

This thought-provoking exhibition presents personal stories through visual art and spoken word, exploring the events and emotions that led to the artist’s creative response.
