Hello, Healesville!

Hello, Healesville! is a celebration of life in one of Australia’s most beautiful towns.

Join your fellow residents for a night of Healesville tales, shared by the people who lived them. Local residents have been working with Hannie Rayson, one of Australia’s best-loved playwrights, and director Michael Cathcart to produce an evening of moving and entertaining tales from this side of the hills.

You’ll enjoy stories about cheeky foxes and saw-milling, the spirit of conservation and Coranderrk, platypuses and birth on the top of a mountain. And you’ll love the melodious voices of the Badgers Creek Women’s Choir.

The event consists of around twenty stories of three minutes each. Together, they add up to a compelling portrait of Healesville – bringing you the passion and humour of people you know.

The project is supported by Yarra Ranges Council.
