Eden represents a personal journey of the power of creation and the need for it in every human life. The human need for expression is paramount to an individual’s wellbeing.

One of the fundamental needs related to being human is the need to create. In every human there is a need to express creativity. This expression can be found in many different forms such as gardening, cooking, body adornment and so on.

Hardy has worked as an arts teacher at Lilydale High School for 30 years. A long-time dedicated painter, her work is an exploration of the human need to be creative; Hardy sees this as a necessity to the development and wellbeing of all individuals. She is passionate about helping people express themselves through art

“Eden is a collection of images inspired from collages of my garden to symbolise the need for expression. I hope you will be able to identify with the images, reflect on your own creative expression and find your own Eden.”
